Sandy Bridge Motherboard - low power for HTPC

Post by Halk » Sun Aug 21, 2011 2:42 am

I'm after a motherboard to run an HTPC. There will be a discreet graphics card on it (looks to be a passive cooled double slot one with a very slow 80mm fan attached).

I'll be using a pentium G620, which is a low end Sandy Bridge CPU.

I'm using a Silverstone Grandia case which I think can take an ATX, or micro ATX, and I have no real preference.

All I'd like is the best board for power consumption. I can get a very inexpensive H61 MSI board, but if there's a better option I'd like to hear it.

Intel P67/H67 boards have the lowest power use...I'd expect the H61 variant to be similar.
