where to buy CPU fans (USA)
hey folks...
i am new to the forums here, so let me say hi. i'm gonna follow that with a question... i'm having a hard time finding anything in the article on recommended fans. i'm looking for 80mm, precisely. i live in the states, and none of them are available on pricewatch. i run an older system that i've just converted to a media center pc, and now i'm realising it's too loud!
if anyone has any suggestions - or is willing to sell a (gently) used model - i'd love to know.
thanks a lot!

I know that www.endpcnoise.com carries the Noctua and Nexus fans. Nexus is the SPCR reference fan for balance of sound, noise and airflow and EndPCNoise.com is an SPCR sponsor.
great, thanks! i will head my way over there now.psyopper wrote:I know that www.endpcnoise.com carries the Noctua and Nexus fans. Nexus is the SPCR reference fan for balance of sound, noise and airflow and EndPCNoise.com is an SPCR sponsor.
as this is only for a media center PC, i should be fine with the nexus and its lower airflow, i bet.
thanks again.

Jab-Tech and Coolerguys (www.coolerguys.com) have both been stellar for me. To be fair, Coolerguys is (almost) in my back yard, so it's nice to be able to pick up stuff w/out paying shipping.
