NewEgg lists MSI APFC Power Supplies

They have really good prices (introductory?), but I've never owned an MSI product, though they seem to be of decent quality.

Thoughts?

I can see three MSI PSUs listed on Newegg.
Two of them have UL numbers which point to MSI themselves (not much use) and one has a UL number which points to "L & C TECHNOLOGY INC", not someone I've heard of before.
Also, while all three are listed as APFC, only one has full range input (the 600W version), which suggests that the other two don't actually have APFC at all.

On initial impressions, my gut reaction is to stay well away.

L&C = junk.

Avoid.

All the MSI barebones that have passed through my hands have had crap PSU's from L&C, Foxconn, etc. etc. I would strongly avoid them until proven otherwise.

Yeah, clearly bad news.

Why do companies risk their good names like that?

I informed NewEgg of the mis-specification.
