Quiet PSU for Origenae S14V

Post by aslg » Sun Sep 07, 2008 7:14 pm

I just bought an Origenae S14V case for my HTPC and I am looking for a quiet PSU to install in it.
I thought of buying the highly recommended Enermax MODU82+ but I am worried about the location of the PSU fan.
As you can see in this picture of the S14V: http://www.origenae.com/images/products ... _shot4.jpg, the PSU is installed horizontally with the fan located on the top. There should be a gap of a little more than an inch between the top of the PSU and the cover of the case.
Do you think the position of the fan in this case can cause thermal problems? If yes, which other PSU would you suggest?

Thanks!

1 inch shouldn't be a probleem. The fanspeed of that Enermax psu is very low, and because of that the noise will not be noticeable higher.

I use the same PS in S14V cases. No problem at all.
