Are Q-Tec the same people as Q-Technology (or maybe it is QTechnology without the hyphen) ?
I have seen both Q-Tec and Q_technology mentioned as makers of computer PSUs. For example:
http://www.quietpc.com/uk/psu.php
http://www.qtec.info/products/product.htm?artnr=13352
I get the feeling one of these makes is reckoned to be good and the other is not.

Q-Technology claim to be good & quiet and had a bit of a reputation as such a year or so back.
Q-Tec are part of the 'pack' of psu manufacturers: good enough & honest enough to put the same brand on all their psu: nothing remarkable when it comes to silence or other performance AFAIK.
I dont have personal experience of either.

Not familiar with Q-technology , but it has to be different from Q-Tec.
From what I've read , Q-Technology makes quality PSUs , from what I've experienced , Q-Tec doesn't.
I had the (nasty) experience of owning a Q-Tec 400W for a little while.
Light as a feather , extremely noisy under load , with voltage lines that made me want to cry....
The only good thing about it , was that it's rear fan died after 1 month , allowing me to RMA it and get something better.

Q-Tec and Q-Technology are as different as John Kerry and George W. Bush, as these pictures of their insides (the PSUs', not the candidates') show:
550W Q-tec:
300W Q-Technology:
I won't say which PSU is like which presidential candidate, but notice how just one of the Q-Technology's heatsinks contains more aluminum than all of the Q-tec's heatsinks combined. One of these definitely does not deserve your vote.
