Noisetaker or Seasonic Super Silencer 400?

Post by Rizban » Mon Sep 27, 2004 9:32 pm

Looking over the reviews here, I really like the efficiency of the Noisetaker 425 or 475 and Seasonic Super Silencer 400. Plus, it looks like both are pretty quiet.

What are the advantages of one over the other? They both are similarly priced, have similar efficiencies, etc.

Does anyone that has experience with these power supplies and have a recomendation of one over the other?

Thanks.

Super Silencer. Go with that. If you want quieter (I recommend), get a L1A Japanaflo and fanswap. Quick. Cheap. Easy. Simple. Kapish?

In contrast, the NoiseTaker has thick cables that are difficult to manipulate.

Noisetaker start voltage

Post by Agent420 » Tue Sep 28, 2004 1:25 pm

The fans on the noisetaker start up at like 12V. Its pretty loud. The 80mm on the back only runs at that voltage for less than a second. Its still very annoying unless your system is always on.
I like the Super Tornado 400 a little bit more than the Silencer Panaflo combo. Havent swapped fans on the Tornado yet.
