There aren't many Seasonic retailers in the UK at all, from what I can gather.

www.xcase.co.uk do a couple of Seasonic models, like the Super Tornado.

www.koolnquiet.co.uk also do Seasonic PSU's but only give the Seasonic product codes for the PSU's they list, not the actual names, so you definitely need to DYOR before buying.

I don't think either site currently has S12's though.

The Seasonic UK product supply chain seems to be pretty poor, and it's such a shame because of the rave reviews these PSU's get. Other manufacturers have better supply and so can also offer lower prices than Seasonic.

Some of the more customer-oriented hardware retailers like KustomPCs do listen to feedback posted on their forums and I'm sure if enough of the UK population of SPCR started posting over there asking for Seasonic PSU's to be stocked, they just might listen... if you're lucky.

If anyone does know of a decent stockist of Seasonic PSU's in the UK (especially S12's) I'll take all the above back - I'd love to know too!

There is some mention of the S12 on the KoolnQuiet website, but only that they don't have them in stock. So it may well be that they intend to get them in. Fingers crossed.

Im looking for one too.

Newegg has the S12-430 for $99 roughly £60 plus everything it would cost on the way over. Maybe we should all join together and make a bulk order.

That's a nice idea, but Newegg won't ship outside the USA.

Ok, yea, should really have checked that!

But I found another place that does it for the same price and seems to ship to the UK.

http://www.siliconacoustics.com/index.html

S12-430 for $99.

I think this is what I'm going to do (but not for few weeks at least)
If anyone else is interested in a bulk order.

I emailed one of Seasonic's UK distrubutors on sunday and just got this response:

------------------------------------

Hi James

Thank you for the enquiry.

The S12's will be availabe in the UK by the beginning of May.

We will keep you for the mailing of the arrival of S12's.

Kind regards,
Sales Dept.

--------------------------------------------

Looks promising.

Edit - This email was to/from CTL who were mentioned earlier in the thread.

Not quite an S12 but close

I also went looking for the S12 but had no luck.

I ended up buying a Seasonic 401HT from KoolNQuiet. It's difficult to tell the extent of the differences as even the factory can't seem to give a straight story but here is what I found.

1. The 401HT has the same current/voltage label as the S12-430 except it says 400W instead of 430.

2. Its grey instead of funky black.

3. It has a stamped grill instead of nice wire one.

4. It comes with a few cable ties and a plain box instead of a retail box with cable management kit.

5. No kettle lead.

And that's about it.

Lovelly and quiet it is and just under 72 UKP delivered. Might be worth a look if you can't wait.

I decided to go for the Antec Phantom 350 and see how that works out. Might end up buying the S12 for my other PC.
