I'm wanting to finally make my PC quiet. My old Antec True380s (Sonata single fan version) didn't cut it, and neither does the Zalman ZM400B, or at least the ones I got.
So, I did a bit of research (mainly at http://silentpcreview.com ) and I've decided to go with a Seasonic PSU. The thing is they only have 30A max on the +5v rail and I am using an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe (no 12v socket) and a CPU running at 3200+. The CPU doesn't use much voltage; it's one of those mobile ones and it's on default. I think I had heard that these older systems use the +5v rail a fair bit and that would be especially so because of the fact that there is no 12v socket.
My current PSU is rated at 40A on the +5v rail. Other hardware in the system: two hard drives (one SATA, one PATA), a DVD burner, a CD burner, a TV tuner, and before long a 6600GT 128MB.
So can anyone tell me whether or not 30A on the +5v rail is going to be enough?
Thanks.
New PSU - 30A on the +5v rail enough?

You don't have to worry, read this. As you can see, the XP system used 2.3 A (5 V)
My AXP worked pefectly well running at 2442 MHz and 1.65 V, together with a R9800 Pro. I used a Fortron 350 W with something like 30 A on 5 V.
BTW, the Seasonic is amazing!
