i just noticed after gaming that i heard a continuous tick tick tick from the neo's ps inside my p150. is this suposed to sound like this when the temperature increases inside the case? because at idle the ticking isnt there.

I have the same sound coming out of my Antec SmartPower2.0 450W PSU. At first I thought it was from my hard drive.

This current PSU is a replacement of a same unit, but the previous one made the same sound (it was returned because it died after 6 months).

I just notice this sound more because I silenced the infamous Northbridge fan (connect a +5V and +12V to the 6000000RPM fan :p). My PSU makes the ticking/popping sound even when the computer is idle (have to leave it on for a while). The sound is as loud as my Hitachi seek noise; very annoying.

I think I'm going to get a Seasonic, but then I heard there's this high pitched noise :/

No high-pitched noise from my S12-330.

hm, I will save up some money to get one.

For my PSU, I found a temporary work-around for the ticking sound problem. When the PSU starts to make the noise (looks like it takes a few hours), I completely shut down the computer. When I turn the computer on again, it doesn't make the noise.
