Seasonic SS and S12 - the same?

Post by fjsc3 » Sat Nov 04, 2006 8:06 pm

Hi all,
is there any real difference between the Seasonic S12-xxx and SS-xxxHB, other than possibly the first being the retail version (nice package, a couple of accessories and manual) and the SS an OEM version? Apart from that, are they exactly the same?

If the only difference is in the packaging then I'll go for the SS.

While on the subject, does anyone have any first hand experience with the SS-430HB?

cheers

It's not even the difference between retail and OEM versions. Seasonic S12-430 is the name, SS-430HB is the product number. The B at the end of the product number means that it is a retail version.

(This of course assumes the retailer put the right info on it's webpage.)
