Antec Neo HE 430.....
Yes I bought this PSU... First one I got wouldnt even start store replaced It now im having problems I think I am overloading it??
I am running
Intel Pentium D 820, 2.8 GHZ
1 GB Corsair ValueSelect Ram
1 x16 DVD Burner
Gigabyte somthing or other mb
HIS ATI Radeon X1650 Pro,512mb,128 bit, AGP 8x
I think The problem is the rail with the Graphics card only providing 16 amps?? Or is it the rail to the Motherboard.
I have...
Motherboard,CPU - Main Rail
Graphics Card - Second Rail
DVD drive, Fans - Third Rail
Any Ideas people?

You aren't even close to overloading it. I'd see if you have another psu to test with first. If that one works, there is likely an issue with the NeoHE. Also verify the date of manufacture/version, A4 from 2006-2007 tend to be much better than older ones.striker99 wrote:Yes I bought this PSU... I have a P5B-E, E6400 OCed, 7950GT, 5 HDDs, 2 DVDs, 2 fans, 2 other PCI cards in my P180. My NeoHE 430 is first generation, and I had no problems with this, or the previous 2 systems it was running.
What problems are you getting? The system doesn't start? If not, did you read this?

The problem is when I am on desktop, but mainly playing high demanding games It resets itself

I would transfer my mp3 folder to different locations on the harddrive. 50% of the time I would get a BSOD. I switched out the power supply and copied the mp3 folder around about a dozen times and no BSOD. I was able to generate like 5-6 of them with the NeoHE in the dozen times I copied it over with it installed. Fucking strange.
Think I have pinpointed the problem...
Easytune reports the CPU as 38 Degress Idle
When I use EVEREST Home Edition It reports the CPU as beeing about 54 Degress.... This program is meant to be grabbing the same temp as the Bios aparently...
From what I can figure the pc is reseting itself because it thinks its overheating.. I was reading aparently Its reaidng an Internal Core "T" Temperature or somthing of the sort so its not the real temp... What can I do about this? Apart from getting a water cooling kit is there anyway to "Trick" the motherboard about the temps?
Its a 865G Intel chipset

HSF is custom and mounted all proper, Put my hand on it the 36 degress or so was about right it sure wasnt 50JimX wrote:I don't think that reporting is the culprit.
Is there any chance that the HSF is not properly mounted? Are you using the stock Intel HSF?
Another possibility is that the NB is overheating, or the board doesn't have enough juice for this CPU, being 865G.
Just guessing here!
I have the topic on auto email send thingJimX wrote:Wow, you're fast!
If it's not seated properly, and your system only resets under load, the HSF will be cool(ish).
I said, just guessing!
Yeah well... Acording to easy tune it gets up to 54 or so degress you toutch it would be about that.
According to those other programs.... I think i would notice if i was toutching somthing that was 70 degress.
But yeah I am wondering about the motherboard.
Think I might just save up and In 6 months or so get an AMD System with a decent Crossfire board, With some sort of dual core cpu....
Yeah well buy then IDK SLI crossfire boards/Dual crossfire boards would be standard. I wasnt saying I would acturaly run dual cards but all the good motherboards these days/when I get it will be...JimX wrote:Wait until July to check, Intel prices will drop very much, and maybe the new AMDs will be out (not), but why Crossfire? Do you want heat and high power consumption with minimal benefits?
I hope you find out what it was, and if you do, please post. Cheers!
Yeah I hope buy time I go to buy they will have some cheap Quad cores out... Highly doubt it but it would be nice...
And Yes I hope I figure out what the problem is to.
