Are 350w gonna be enough?

Hello everyone,

i know that this question has already been asked several times on the forum, but according to the very different results i got (see bottom), i'm a bit lost.

i just finished updating my htpc, that i realized that my 240w psu would not be enough for my new configuration. The concern i have is that my case is a low profile case (Silverstone lc11) in which only tfx psu could fit. I've been googling for a few days, and found out that the most powerful tfx psu available is 350w.

My new confirguration:
AMD x2 5000+ (65w)
Asus M2A- VM HDMI (mobo)
Asus 2600 Pro (Grafix card)
2x1024 Go ram (ocZ)
4 (80mm)Noctua fans
1xAsus DRW 1814 BLT (sata dvd burner)
1xHaupage winfast 350 (tv card)
1 seagate db35 (750 go, 7200 tm) hd
1 hitachi (60go, 2,5 inches) hd

I tried various power calculators, and i got 408w, 549w and 270w...

So my question is: are 350w gonna be enough to drive my configuration (knowing that i will be reading divx and in the futures hd-dvd and blue ray disks, but no gaming at all)?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Greetings

Nicolas

A good 350W PS is more than enough for that load. The most demanding element is the 2600, and that isn't bad.

have you actually tried it? or do you just think it won't be enough? a quality 240W PSU will drive that setup easily. The 270W figure was closest, but still about 2x too high.
