replacing a 80mm with a 120mm in a PSU

I have a 80mm exhaust on my PSU that is my loudest part on my computer. My PSU is mounted sideways in my case, and I was wondering if I could just open up a hole on the top of the PSU and put a 120mm intake fan externally.

Is the HX620's fan an intake or exhaust? Are there anything I should look into other than the position of the side the circuit board is on the power supply?

Fans on the bottom of the PSU are intake. Fans next to the power switch are exhaust.
