Will this exceed 300 Watts?
I'm planning on using Corsair VX450W PSU for the build below but would like to double check and see if it would exceed 300 watts at load because the VX450W becomes too loud after 300 watts.
Antec 300 ATX Case
Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2P mATX
AMD Athlon II X2 240
Noctua NH-U12P SE2 w/Scythe S-Flex 1200rpm
4GB Corsair Value Select DDR2-800
Powercolor HD 4850 1GB
Western Digital 500 GB WD5000AAKS
Sound Blaster Audigy SE
Two - Scythe S-Flex 1200rpm fans
Logitech webcam USB

I was thinking about max of 250-270 watts at load that becuase the HD 4850 is power hog but it's beast when gaming and I got it onsale. Your machine is far more power hungery and faster then what I planned. I want to double check like said in my other post because at 400 watts VX450W is way to loud 44 dba according to the SPCR review.

Its not just the power load that speeds up PSU fans. The temperature of the air entering the PSU also plays a big part in fan speed.johnniecache7 wrote: because the VX450W becomes too loud after 300 watts.
