Will Seasonic SS-460FL, 460W be enough for this ?

Post by zoran89 » Tue Nov 30, 2010 7:22 pm

I came across some money and decided to change my noisy sharkoon rush power M 650w PSU....I read a review here on SPCR on Seasonic SS-400FL and fell in love with it....I found his stronger brother Seasonic SS-460FL for OK price.....so I am asking, do you think will it be enough for my system....

I will lay down the sistem for you (things with * are future upgrades)

CPU: AMD Phenom 1055t (overclocked to 3,3..... Mugen 2 on it)

MBO: Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3

RAM: 2X2 GB DDR3

GPU: Ati Radeon 5670 1gb with accelero s1 rev2 (*plan to upgrade to AMD RADEON HD 6870 or similar card )

HDD: 2xSAMSUNG SPINPOINT (1tb and 500gb (7200 rpm))
plan to buy *2tb samsung ecogreen and get rid of 500gb one

DVDR

Schyte front panel fan controller

6X120mm gentle typhoons inside (only 2 spinning at 800rpm, and on on the cpu heatsink spinning at 600 pm, the rest are for gaming and just to be safe purposes)....

so....will the 460w be enough....

I think it will, but just to make sure...

Thanks ...

No, the psu is intended to be mounted with the holes facing up, don't worry about the heat.

Just a little update...i got seasonic x-560....its the new x series with hybrid fan control (same as x-650 reviewed here)....mainly because of price, and that i didn't want heat buildup from fanles psu while i am gaming....

Does anyone have any experience with the new x-560....i read some reviews online and the main line in all of them was that x-560 is the best x series PSU from seasonic....What do you think, should i better got old x-650 ???
