That means any time from the beginning of next month. The distributor could be no more clearer than that. As soon as they are imported, we will have them for sale.
The equivalent PSU to go for at the moment is the Fortron 120 mm unit.
The Seasonic PSUs are heavy units, have to shipped from the States and pass through more hands, so you cannot compare the UK and US prices.
I can compare what I like thanks very much - and I don't buy this "it has to cost more in the UK because it comes through the US" stuff. I suggest you go read some economics textbooks - it just isn't so. There are plenty of products where the US and UK prices are broadly equivalent - digital cameras and laptops, for instance.
The decision to charge more is usually made by someone in the distribution chain who'd like a higher margin and has a quasi-monopoly. Or, sometimes, the distribution chain isn't as efficient as it could be - for instance, it's possible that no-one in the UK or even EU can order a container-load, which might be the minimum.
Where there is an efficient, competitive, and decent-sized market, as in the examples above, this tends to eliminate fat margins and encourage distribution chain efficiencies. However, the UK market in such specialised product is none of these, yet. The US market. being larger, is more so.
Anyway, the PARS price is only £20 - though I don't know if they have stock, and it may be the passive PFC version (but Mike says this is quieter ...)
