I need some advice about my Antec True Power 380

Post by luminous » Thu Nov 06, 2003 11:48 am

I like my power supply, all apart from the noise that it makes.

I believe that this unit has both an 80mm and 92mm fan inside. I have read that it is perfectly possible to change the fans inside the PSU.

Now to the advice that I need:
- can I get away with using only one 92mm papst fan and remove both of the current fans from the PSU.
- if I cannot get away with only one fan, purchasing 2 papst fans and shipping is coming to around £40 - so I may be better off with just buying a new PSU....which leads me to the next point
- the Seasonics seem to get a good review and feedback in the forum, but Fortron also seem to do well, yet I cannot find anything a review regarding noise

Any help will be greatly appreciated :)
