Velociraptor Icepacks for SPCR server
There must be some folks who -- like all the SPCR staff who have VRs -- run them w/o the icepacks. If any of you would like to help SPCR by donating your now idle Icepack, pls let me know or post here. We have a very specific application: To install 2.5" SAS drives into a 1U rack case with backplane for 3.5" drives. We only need 2.

Yes, we need the newer ones, or the connectors don't line up. We need four of these, because the ones we have are the older style.
I'm making the assumption that the second generation ice-pack is removable. Anyone?
Here's a visual of the type needed:

I have at least one that is idle and 1 that is attached but will soon make its way into a system once I get some of those 2.5" no-vibe trays.
Is this the right version:

Edit: Oh, I see, the backplane ready version has connectors embedded onto the IcePack. I wish my version was one of those

Yes. It's either void, or very void, depending on how you remove your heatsink.I'm guessing warranty is void when they are removed?

Icy Dock makes a hotplug compatible 2.5 to 3.5 adapter. You can buy them easily.
