More tidbits on pricing from the Inquirer maybe $400 for a 64GB drive by this time next year. That's approaching the realm of consideration, for a laptop drive.

So hopefully in 2008, the 64GB drives will be down to $200. If that became the case, I would buy one for my laptop. For desktop usage, I would hold out until a 256GB model came out for about $200.

I'm positive before I post that link that Sony is also the one who bundle their laptop w/ Samsung SSD. And yet I can't find the link. But if Sony can do it, and the fact that Samsung laptop also did, then the price should be in the acceptable range. $960 is high but it is a list price. Should be able to bargain down somehow to say $780.

I read Lliam's link and that sounds great, but all I need is 10G or so. Is a 10G out? I've seen 4GB thumbs.

I see m-systems has one, but I don't see a price. And that scares me.

Meh, I don't want something that wears out quickly.

You won't like any of them. Cheaper to get an 8GB CF card and a CF-IDE adapter. Get a dual adapter and use 2 CF cards for your 10GB size.
