There is a new beast coming out soon, and its 160GB.

Noise isn't a big problem for this fast drive as it's rated at 25dB idle and 29dB during seeks, which is identical to Seagate's previous 25/29dB 7200.1 and in the same neighborhood as its slower 5400.3 at 23/29dB. Though not silent, the typical notebook will have both a sound-deadening plastic case and a much noisier (relatively) CPU cooling fan that will make the Momentus 7200.2 effectively inaudible.
From page 2 in the review above.

You can compare this with specs from WD 3.5" HDD. WD 2500AAKS Idle 25dBA / Seek mode 0 & 3 26 dBA. But this is manufacturer specs. :D
All other WD has Idle 28 dBA specs (according to WD).
