Would I be correct in assuming that these 2 drives sound exactly the same?

Hi,
i can't tell you if these drives sound the same, but i can assure you that the two WDs 2500AAKS that i have in my case are very very quiet.

I own both, they sound about the same. I think that mechanically they are the same.

they will have the same acoustic properties unless the batch dates are different.

the only difference between a js/ks(se/se16) is the amount of cache.

The drives with the "AA" specification (AAKS and AAJS) will be quieter because they have fewer platters.
