Hi, I just wanna let everyone know that I upgraded from a 1/8" rubber round cord HDD suspension system to a novibes III and it does a significantly better job of reducing harddrive vibration compared to the round cord. I am really surprised that the round cord transmitted vibrations like it did through the case. The novibes I would say does about a 95% reduction, where as the cord does 70% for vibrations.
Wow. Best $25 I ever spent. I'm using a 500GB Samsung drive.

yeah they were pretty tight actually, but oh well, I like my novibes just the same. =)jhhoffma wrote:Sounds like you had your cords wound too tight...
samsung hd501lj, good on vibration..... hrm, to me its a silent drive but vibrates very heavily. I think on the spcr review of the drive that was one of its cons. I personally find it offensive in a steel case.
