Huh. Boot times are almost the same with the SSD with both 256MB and 2GB RAM. I wish they would have tested with 1GB RAM (for comparison with the HDDs), too, since not many people are likely to have 256MB these days.

I would love to see some results against a laptop hard drive. it would probably slaughter EVERYTHING.

SSD (non-raid) loses to the 2.5" 5400RPM HDD in random writes:
512k block: 19.17MB/s vs. 22.45MB/s
64k block: 2.75MB/s (:evil:!) vs. 10.29MB/s

SSD wins everything else (although in sequential writes it's effectively a tie).
