http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820233075

-samsung controller
-presumably samsung or corsair's own MLC
-128GB
-$329 free shipping

compared to $250+shipping for 32GB Samsung FlashSSD (SLC) i think it's a bargain (with a slight performace compromise)

of course, whether this has that ugly stuttering problem common in jmicron controller SSDs remains to be seen from the early adaptors

I'm running a 64GB Samsung MLC drive and can confirm that it doesn't have any stuttering problems. I owned a Patriot Warp V2 a few months ago that exhibited some stuttering, but in the same setup and with the same software installed, absolutely no stuttering on the Samsung.

That being said, this thing is no speed demon either, it doesn't feel much faster than a rotating disk for regular usage. If you want an SSD with a big performance boost, probably better to wait until Intel drives are cheaper or competitors release a cheaper drive that can actually give the Intel drives a run for their money. However, if you want an affordable SSD that works great out of the box and doesn't require any tweaking, then the Corsair SSD (assuming it uses the same internals as the Samsung MLC drives) should be right up your alley. :)

i'm not going to trust any SSD without any cache built in, and newegg doesnt list this drive as having any cache.

i'll wait for the 60/120gb ocz vertex for $250/500
