Need a fast quiet 1TB drive
My Samsung drive died, though under warranty, samsung has refused to replace it except with a refurbished drive. I have no interest in keeping my data on a refurb. So, I need a replacement. If you look at my sig you will see this is a very quiet near fanless system. If fact the only thing I can hear now with the case wide open is the HD. It's suspension mounted and once the case is closed up, pretty well insulated. This is a gaming system as well as a HTPC, so I need performance as well as quiet. I am not ready to jump to a SSD just yet, that will wait until I replace the whole system. thanks for any ideas
