SMART settings missing

Post by KayDat » Mon Apr 19, 2010 5:55 pm

So I upgraded to retail Win7 when the RC expired, and I noticed that I could no longer access SMART settings from Windows; i.e. SpeedFan and HDDScan. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or ideas on how to troubleshoot this problem? Thanks.

I think you have to run those programs as administrator.

...Oh.
Well, that explains everything. I disabled UAC last time, and decided to keep it this time round. Thanks for that, I can't believe I didn't try it earlier. =]
