How to apply tuniq TX-2 thermal paste

Post by nikonman » Tue Jan 08, 2008 7:33 pm

Sorry if this is a stupid newbie question. I can't find any instructions on how to apply this stuff. Not on the packaging or the tuniq site. The various websites reviews outthere use both the dollop method and the spreading the TIM with a credit card method. Which one to use? I've previously used AS5 and all i did with that was to just put a dollop on the CPU heat spreader and use the heatsink to evenly distribute the stuff. Does it matter which method i use? and also if i apply a even coat on the CPU do i need to do the same on my heatsink as well (my thermalright ultra 120 instructions say to do so)
