Thinking about a Zalman CNPS6000CU...

Post by Viperoni » Thu Mar 04, 2004 3:48 pm

But I just don't think it'll fit into my case.

I've got an Inwin q500n with an epox 8rda3+ MB, so the fins will stretch out vertically, with air flowing through them from the front to the back of the case.

Currently with my Alpha pal8045, I have about a centimeter from the edge of the HS to the bottom edge of my PSU "tray"....

I've googled for pics but nothing very conclusive.

I'd really like to get this HS, but I obviously want to be sure it fits :)

Thanks :D

I wasn't terribly impressed by the Zalman 6000. I'd suggest looking for something else.

The SLK-800 w/ undervolted Panaflo is a pretty good choice, and it may fit alright in tight areas.

I'm currently running an Alpha pal8045 with an 80mm Vantec Stealth with a 39ohm resistor inline... the fan spins at an average of 1750rpm and It'll be the loudest thing in my system. Stock is roughly 2300rpm, and I believe it's running @ ~7v now. It's mostly wind noise, not really fan noise that's causing the noise to begin with.
