Sigh....

This crap is what's in our future?

Please, please, please somebody, make an 855 desktop board with an AGP slot that's less than $250.

If only it had some flashing colour changing LED's on the hub......

And a circular blue neon in the middle of the main body......

That's just for people with windows in their cases. The HS looks like Aerocool HT-101/CoolerMaster Hyper6/(insert other). But that's just plane ugly. 8)

Cheers,

Jan

Well, you gotta have another of those for the upcoming graphics cards. And if you align the two just right, all you'll need is a set of wings

Why do I feel reminded of a Tom Petty + the heartbreakers song...?

I'm learning to fly
but I ain't got wings...

So maybe the mobo isn't going to lift off JUST yet.

On the bright side, it does look like it will draw air over the memory and help keep your memory cool. I wonder if they include ear plugs with that fan? Or perhaps maybe an extension to use it as a wind-tunnel for pine wood derby cars?

How about an extension funnel/pipe, so you can use it as a hair dryer as well?

:).

That sure would look good in Mike's blue Breadbox, if only it would fit.

Will that even fit inside the case?
It should be pretty close.

One note though , while the Inq says this is a Prescott HS , the motherboard's plastic frame (under the HS) doesn't look like socket 478 or LGA 775.
It looks like AMD socket 754...

EDIT: Just looked at the ASUS site...

The motherboard pictured seems to be this one http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socket7 ... erview.htm#

An AMD socket 754 motherboard.

The Inquirer's reporters are in dire need of glasses.

I think the Prescott comment is a joke by the inquirer.

I think it should be called the Popiel Rocket Cooler. I think you are supposed to set it outside on a cement slab and duct your home air conditioner/heating system to it. It kind of reminds me of a big blue Edsel.
