Keeping a Prescott quiet and cool.

I find it interesting to read other people's experiences doing the same sort of computer mods I have done...particularly when it involves a Prescott. This guy is claiming a Prescott runs 15C hotter than a Northwood....sure doesn't for me. He claims his 350w PSU couldn't handle the current draw... :P When he's through with his mods he calls the setup whisper quiet. Jeez....

quote:
"we were pleasantly surprised to find that this whisper-quiet combination"
"we were able to reduce the noise production of our Prescott system down to a hardly audible hum"

"If we wanted to quiet it down even further we’d need to remove the two 10.000-RPM Raptors"

...

I wonder how quiet that computer could REALLY be.
