any amd64 revision E undervolts

Post by dan » Sat May 21, 2005 7:46 pm

i am curious as to how deeply amd64 revision E undervolting is possible, as there are many resources for overclocking (i.e www.overclockers.com) and whether its overall power consumption is higher or lower than winchester.

anyone have data to report?

overall power consuption seems to be lower on Venice than Winchester, at least that's what the reviews say. It's lower but not a whole lot it seems it's around 2-3W accross the board. As far as undervolting goes I've seen some people here undervolting to 1.05v with AMD64 and I would guess revision E shouldn't be much different.

There was a post this week that showed someone getting 2.7GHz with 1.1v (300MHz FSB!)

At stock speeds (3000+) and a decent cooler, mine runs stable at 1.15v. When I get my Thermalright XP-120 I think I'll be able to get it lower.
