anyone have any thoughts? mikec suggested "bending" the heatpipes for the si-97a, but these are already "bent" and in an L-shaped "tower" design. fins are closely spaced however. only works with p4

* Soldered fins to copper base (nickel plated) to make effective contact
* Light weight and easy installation
* Optional passive cooling depending on system fan placement
Technical Spec.:

Weight:
360g (heat sink only)
Recommended Fan

yeah...."some"Freelancer77 wrote:Especially since Thermalright themselves packages some of their HSFs with multiple retention module kits.DG wrote:Why the hell don't they make some sort of universal clip for all platforms? I'm sure it's not rocket science...
Like SP97 and SP94... .and a recent example: SI-97 and the new SI-97A. Si-97A just adds compatibility with Athlon64. Why couldn't they make from the begining the A version if it was possible? I don't think they needed several months of research just to find the solution for the A64 compatibility of Si97...
So that people who got SI-97s would need to get an XP90 or XP120 if they upgraded to A64s?DG wrote: yeah...."some"
