XP-90 not for 2800+ Newcastle?

Thermalright's web site says the XP-90 is supported for "Athlon64 3200+ (socket 754) and above"
Is the 2800+ Newcastle so different that the XP-90 simply cannot fit? Is it too big, small, won't make contact with it, or what?
If so, any compartable alternatives (other than Zalman)?

XP 90 is fine for any athlon 64 cpu on both socket 754 and 939. You'll be fine with it.
