80mm fan K8 heatsink

Post by Likif » Sun Sep 04, 2005 10:11 am

I'm looking for an AMD64 heatsink that takes an 80mm fan. And it has to be cheaper than the Thermalright models...that rules out the XP-90.

any recommendations?

The Alpha works fine.

Can't find a K8 Alpha anywhere...least not here in Denmark, or Germany. Can you post a link?

Ugh.... it's hard to find Alpha anywhere from what I've seen. :P They're supposed to be good though.

How about Thermaltake? I bought a Silent Boost K8 just for the nice copper heatsink (it's not a fancy heat pipe cooler like the Thermalrights though). It includes an 80mm fan but you can easily replace it. Can be found very inexpensively if you shop around. I found mine for $25 Cdn.

Off the top of my head I cannot think of a heat pipe cooler type K8 cooler that mounts an 80mm fan anyway..... *scratches head* :?

Based on Alpha Novatech's resellers list, there is only one online store in Germany that supposedly sells Alpha products: Listan. There's another company listed, but it's a distributor and not a reseller. I was unable to find any Alpha product on Listan's website though... :?
