Scythe makes new Ninja to fit AM2 processors!
I talked to Scythe a few days ago and found out that they are making a new Ninja to fit the AM2 socket. It will be released within the next 3-5 months. They will not make a separate adapter to hold the current Ninja in place on the AM2.

Yes it's too bad, I might get another heat sink.
Do you have any suggestions for AM2 motherboards for gaming?

it would work perfectly (the copper ninja) when bolted through the motherboard instead of clip-on
but the main drawback is not weight, it's cost and performance, not that much better than the alcu version (1-3°c) but much more expensive to make.
when I asked Scythe about the Copper Ninja at Cebit they almost ignored it completely, it is just to show-off what is possible, they *might* make a few dozen of them and send them off to extreme enthusiasts, but it won't make it into a mainstream product.

The humour is great.
