My specs : full tower case with 2 nexus 1200mm intake Silverstone 120mm exhaust.
4800X2
Pwerstream 520W
X1950XTX 512Mb
4*512 OCZ PC3200 Platinum
74Cb Raptor 250Cb WD 250KS.
I did fresh install and SP2 as well.Cool'n quiet installed , optimized dual core also.
CPU cooler Zalman 7700Cu.Fanmate manually,Guru panel and BIOS settings cannot change cooler speed - IT ALLWAYS 1360 !
CPU load-idle 39-42C.
Is it normal ?
Not overclocked.

Abit AT8 32 motherboard.

Hello,

Idle is 39C and load is 42C? Your running the fan too fast! Or, you're not actually load both cores -- try running two instances of Folding@Home, or Prime95, CPU Burn, etc...

May I repeat - I cannot change fan speed using Fanmate or Bios settings.
Here I'm stuck...
Maybe need disable Cool'n quiet...

I turn it clockwise up and down and fan speed remain the same...
If i can adjust speed i'll not post here.
Thank you.
BTW I used tis cooler for 1 year and no problem before,but on LgA775 Abit AS8.

Hmmm,

That's strange -- the FanMate worked before, but now it does not? :? The fan is plugged into the FanMate, and the FanMate is plugged into the mobo header (or the power plug)?


I'd maybe buy another FanMate?

Actually I have 2 fanmate .Same result on both.
From my experience - without fanmate zalman not start,so problem is somwhere ,but not fanmate.

Try plugging the fanmate into an adaptor off one of the PSU. molex plugs.
That way you have a clean 12v to start with .
