Vintage cooler question (Thermalright AX7)

Post by OVI » Thu Nov 02, 2006 12:50 pm

I've been building a HTPC project on a budget with second hand parts.

I've got a XP-M 2400 1.45V and a Glacialtech SilentBreeze II with a "17dB"/1900rpm 80mm nanometer ceramic bearing fan (made by Globalwin I think but sold here in Finland as Liebermann)

I could get a Thermalright AX7 for very low price. But is it worth it? I searched SPCR and the net for info on AX7, but couldn't find any tests with AX7 and any of the heatsinks I'm familiar with.

Is AX7 any good with a low RPM fan?
