Need good cooler for Biostar 939 Tforce (6100) board
I am upgrading the system in my signature to 939 board (Biostar 939 Tforce 6100), with Opteron 144 processor and X1950 Pro videocard with large AC cooler.
What are my best options for HSF that will work with this mobo? The cooler on the VC looks rather large so I hope it does not cause clearance problems with a Processor HSF. The case is pretty large (Antec Fileserver).
Would re-using the XP-90 be a good option or should I look for something newer?

the XP-90 actually doesn't use the motherboard retention mecanism, you will have to remove and use the Customized K8 RM that came with the XP-90

Fabre,
Thanks man. I do remember doing that with the old board when I installed this. I hope the new board has removable frame- does anyone have any experience with this board (Biostar tForce)?
Also, I am wondering if I should switch to a better fan than the panaflow I am using now- it does not like to run much below 1200RPM if I remember correctly (medium to high speed- rated fan). Is a Yate Loon 120mm an option? I know it is too big, but maybe ziptie it on somehow??

Jaganath,
Great, thanks, that looks good for my board then. I just got it in the mail yesterday so will let you all know how the build goes. Any advice on the fan for the heatsink? Right now I have the Panaflow on a fanmate and the chassis fans are hard-wired at 5 volts. I am still concerned about airflow, as these 80mm fans move almost no air at 5 volts.
