as an alternative, instead of buying the big Thermalright XP-120, and wondering if it would fit on my board...i could replace the fan on my heat-sink for the Noctua 80mm i bought, but i have some questions...
the ThermalTake CL-P0200 fan is rated at 19dbA and 33.38CFM of airflow, but i wonder if that's true...
i think the Noctua NF-R8 (80mm) is rated 22CFM and 17dbA
questions:
1- Do you think the datas (dbA and CFM) of the ThermalTake fan are true?
2- Do you think the Noctua fan, rated at 22CFM with 17dbA, will be as good and as effective as the stock fan that came with the heatsink?
3- Some websites rates the NF-R8 at 26CFM...so which one is the good one, 22CFM or 26CFM?
4- Since the stock fan is 20mm thick(closed flanges), and the Noctua fan is 25mm thick (open flanges), do you think i could use the same screws?
5- ...Do the Thermalright XP-120 would fit on my main board?
6- Which Thermalright CPU heatsink would you recommend me instead of the XP-120?

-ThermalTake CL-P0200(link, datas at the bottom)
-Noctua NF-R8 (QuietPC.com link)
for now, what i'm doing to attenuate the noise a bit is turning Speedfan on and putting the CPU fan to 90% speed.
Noctua NF-R8 (80mm) good replacement for CPU?

Based on infromation from Noctua I've counted NF-R80's CFM to be closer to 30 CFM. I probably made some sort of miscalculation as I first counted and I got around 31 CFM when changing into CFM's.
But NF-s12 1200 RPM was rated something like 48 CFM's and SPCR's test it was tested to be more like 62 CFM's. So I wouldn't be surprised if you get closer to 30 CFM or more from 80 mm Noctua.

You haven't been reading SPCR thoroughly enough, otherwise you'd know for sureRaptorZX3 wrote:1- Do you think the datas (dbA and CFM) of the ThermalTake fan are true?
so as a guess, what do you think would be the amount of CFM of the ThermalTake fan that i have?
it got a lot of blades too, more than the usual fans around (11 blades)
i tried taking off a screw from my fan-heat-sink, but i think i would need to put the computer horizontally to take it off without damaging...
arg...i think i need to buy some Arctic Silver 5 someday...
