Question about Thermalright Ultra 90

Post by pwnerx » Wed Nov 21, 2007 5:31 am

Thermalright came out with 2 versions of the Ultra 90: K8 and LGA775. I want to use it with a 775 bolt thru kit. However, the K8 version is selling for about $23, while the LGA775 is at $30. If possible, I'd like to save some money by pairing the 775 bolt thru kit with the K8 heatsink.

The problem is that the 775 bolt thru kit doesn't include the bracket mount.

This is a picture of the old 775 bolt thru kit which Thermalright doesn't sell anymore. It includes a backplate, 4 screws, and a bracket mount http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main ... acc_lga775

This is the current bolt thru kit that Thermalright is selling. It only has a backplate and 4 screws.

If anyone has the K8 Ultra 90, could you tell me if it comes with a bracket mount?

Thanks in advance.

It does not come with the 775 bracket. Sorry.

However, you can get both versions cheaper at SVC.
