The next big to a Thermalright Ultra 120 but smaller?

Post by andyd » Tue Dec 11, 2007 7:52 pm

I'm waiting for all parts to arrive this week but it would appear I made a mistake going with this heatsink and the Lian Li PC-A10B. I will have clearance issues with the top case fan. I'm going to have to go with something else but not exactly sure what is the next best thing but with a smaller footprint

fyi, I will be using a Asus Maximus board

Thermalright Ultima-90 with 92mm fan would be what your looking for. The little brother of the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme.

Ultra-90 is sufficient if your processor won't get too hot, and it's much cheaper as well.

Thanks guys. I went with the Ultima 90. I actually have the room to use a 120mm fan along with the heatsink. Haven't been able to put the system to the test yet because of other issues but I think I'll be happy with the Ultima

The Ultra-120 will fit Lian-Li mid-towers. It barely fit my Lian-LI PC65b.

Almost touching the panel!

Same angle with no flash. (Man, I gotta fix that motherboard bending).
