ack :\ low profile for htpc needed

Post by pingu666 » Tue Apr 22, 2008 3:26 pm

just bulit a htpc with a antec fusion 430 case, currently using a intel heatsink but its abit noisey :\

scythe mini is obivous choice, but it would be mighty close to the soundproofed top cover, like millimeters... :/

does the top get warm on the tower coolers, ive never used one before :S

with a max height of 11cm ish and a tight budget, bit :S about what to get :( and id prefer a sideflow fan, but its not hugely important

sugestions?

The Ninja Mini is highly recommended for that case, and can even be run semi-passively in the airflow already provided by the case fans. As for heat, I think you'll be fine; I can't speak for the Mini, but I know the top of the full-size Ninja doesn't get warm unless you've got a particularly hot processor.
