Bolt kit for Xigmatek S-1283

Post by antivenom » Wed Feb 04, 2009 5:35 am

Hey, I recently bought the Xigmatek S-1283 to cool my Q6600 but it only came with damn push pins to secure it, which are really fiddly and seem to put a huge strain on my motherboard. Does anybody know if there is a bolt kit that works with the S-1283?

Yep you need the 17751 bracket. Its hard to find instock many times, so you have to act quick to get a deal on it.

Actually now they have one that does both socket 775 and 1366

You can use a couple retention brackets that work fine also. Like this one where you remove the pushpins from the stock Xiggy bracket:

Excellent, thanks for the help guys, sadly scan are the only company that sell it in the UK and they're currently out of stock, I plan to email them asking when they can get them in stock. Unless anyone knows of any other sites that ship to the UK.

Man you can use Thermalright Bolt-Thru or Scythe Stabilizer instead Crossbow.
Just remove push-pins from retention bracket and use backplate and screws from another kit.
This is how I mounted my Ninja rev.B with Thermalright Bolt-Thru.
