Which Coolers for P182 Q6600 Modu826 3870 System

Post by casebuyer » Tue Mar 31, 2009 1:21 am

Which Cooler Available in My Country for Q6600 Modu826 3870 System

I have a Q6600 which I may like to overclock time to time while I do rendering and graphics job [means 100 percent load on CPU and faster The CPU shorter the time required] yet rest of the time I need silence [the more the better]

My system is case Antec P182 cool case actually silencing the parts yet its inside fans not much quite therefore I use them at low settings which is also not extremely quiet
Gigabyte GA EP45 DS3R
I have a Enermax Modu82+ 625 Watt Power Supply Unit
HIS ICE ICEQ3 3870 [which is audable at 50 percent speed]
And Stock Q6600 fan [which is not silent at even no load]
Patriot 2 GB x 2 Rams 6400

My loudest part is stock q6600 fan, then radeon 3870 fan, then modu82+ most possibly

So I will try to list the cpu, vga, case, ram, and harddisk coolers available in my country with some unit price
And if you can help me on picking the best and explaining why it would be cool
Thanks in advance

Hi!

Here's my two cents:

Vga cooling: Arctic Cooling VGA Cooler Accelero S1 Rev.2 is more than enough, it doesn't need Arctic Cooling tubo module.

For case fans, Noiseblocker Balck Silent X1's = Cheap, good fans with compearable with NExus in sound tonality, sound quality and static pressure. Lacks the nexus awkward power connectors. 1000 RPM fan, only lack is that it doesn't start reliably @ 5v as doesn't Nexus. @6v it starts reliable.

For CPU cooler: Howabout Xigmatek HDR-S1283 with bolt-thru kit or some of its numerous clones? They're cheaper than most TR's, Zalman's or Scythe's products and offer great performance / buck. OCZ Gladiator / Vendetta series is one of those clones. Vanquisher is more like Arctic Cooling Pro 7's clone...

Basically not all models can be found in my country
So only if my friends or family goes abroad they can buy items outside this list
You may also recommend some brands but they are only available if someone I know goes abroad
