Mugen 2

I recall one of the hardware review sites saying the Mugen 2 in the preferred orientation would block the 1st RAM slot on an Asus P6T. It might fit in the other orientation - just beware that the fan might interfere with the RAM.
Have a look here for the Mugen 2 compatibility list from Scythe.
Also, Orochi list here.
Shouldn't have a problem with the Mugen 2 in a P183 - no idea about the Orochi though.

I did find that page, but it seems incomplete at best. Mostly, is many pages of people commenting on whether or not their particular configuration works, rather than a master list in a logical order. Pretty tough to slog through, but I tried, and didn't see my motherboard listed.
I did see the P6T deluze listed as compatible, which should be close enough, I hope.
Edit: I stand corrected. Page 8 lists the P6T as compatible. Still no fun to go through, and some of it is in German, but good enough for me. Noctua's website is about a million times easier to get info from than Scythe's.

Bumthology had decent results using the Orochi in his P182 (I imagine the p183 isn't vastly different).

Hi Steve,
You can compare the dimensions of the Mugen 2 with some of the other large heatsinks: the Ninja, Xigmatek 1283, TRUE, etc., and I'll bet that the Mugen will fit in the Solo. The key thing is often the position of the CPU socket on the motherboard, and how that places the heatsink relative to the PSU.

Did you get to try the Mugen 2 with P6T in Solo case?sschnee wrote:I am also considering the Antec Solo. Will a Mugen 2 fit in there? Anyone have that combo here?
Thanks again.
Steve
I have a P6T SE with 6x2GB Corsair XMS3 and Solo case on order. Plan to O.C. and looking at the Mugen 2 w/ push-pull fans. Thanks.
I have a Mugen 2 in a Solo on an Asus M3A78-EM. The edge of the heatsink is almost exactly flush with the topmost edge (when in standard ATX orientation) of motherboard. There is fair room to spare around the PSU and the support beam, everything fits fine.
CPU socket on the P6T looks to be about the same if not a bit farther from the board edge than on the M3A78, so you should be fine.
