Let me define passive cooling for you guys...

I was just browsing google for Thermalright and I stumble upon this...I then shrieked like a little girl and wet my pants.

seeing this reminds me of the Scythe Godhand or whatever it is...only this is passive to boot, the godhand comes with some garbage fan.

Holy ****... I'm guessing it will cost approximately as much as the rest of my computer and weigh at least 4x as much as my 182...

Looks like something I would come up with late at night with lots of sleep deprivation...

However that post is two years old and another report of such a case has yet to be seen. It would be so cool though, but heavy and expensive.

Sure, it cools the CPU - the CPU isn't the big problem these days in many setups.

If you're going for a fanless rig that isn't for gaming, you can make most everything fanless except that CPU, that's your biggest problem, built in video, SSD, fanless PSU...but as for the CPU this case would take care of it.

Sure, but I'd contend that fraction of non-gaming rigs that *really* require a high power CPU is small; and that non-gaming rigs that don't require a 95+W CPU and are sensibly configured can be cooled close to passively anyway.

What is it you're doing that a 65W CPU can't do (that can be cooled semi-passively these days anyway) using a heatsink that costs less than the rest of the PC put together?!

If it isn't for gaming you probably don't need a ton of speed out of your CPU either... All of the top rated heatsinks should be able to cool a 65w or lower CPU passively.
