Do AM2, AM2+ and AM3 all use the same heatsink mounting?

Do AM2, AM2+ and AM3 all use the same heatsink mounting?
Are they all compatible?

I wonder if that’s due to some heatsinks being older models that were released before AM3 and they haven’t had their documentation updated.ronrem wrote:Some do not list as doing AM 3 though they list fitting AM2...the well known Ninja being one case.
MIGHT work....but I like it when the maker says it works...otherwise...it's on me if it does not.
If AM2 and AM3 really do use the same mounting layout you can disregard what the manufacturers’ quote.

Yes, that's correct, I own both AM2 & AM3, and they both use the same Heatsink mounting.faugusztin wrote:The only difference between AM2 and AM3 is pins, which identify the CPU as AM3.
