What is the most economical quiet CPU cooling device?

Post by armornone » Thu Sep 23, 2010 1:23 am

Hi.

Can anyone recommend a CPU cooling device which gives you a good bank for the buck?

Water cooled, air cooled,etc...? I don't mind as long as it does the job.

Thanks

peeing on your cpu.

blends price, watercooling and is easily accessible.

Or, you could also just use stock HS and put a larger better fan on it.

what kind of cpu are you trying to cool and are you worried about noise?

as the Jefe says, fans are cheap.

;)

Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B, as mentioned, is a great choice.

Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus is also an option.

If size is an issue, a Big Shiruken would work well.

Depending on what you use the PC for, and what CPU it is, you could run a Mugen passively, which would be very quiet :)

Maybe the intel I5 750 or a lower end I7 processor.
