Holy crap. Looks like it should be hanging off the wing of a Boeing Jet. I bet it sounds similar, as well.

I've read from some other forum that there is actually a red LED on the back (afterburner?).

The noise level ranged from 62 dB(A) and 44 dB(A). The background noise was 34dB(A)). All in all, the Jet 7 is an average, but good cooler
Wow, 0.49°C/W at 62dBa. Do you realise a 2 year old SLK-800 with a 24dBa L1A gets 0.33°C/W? Sad.

But Tom's says its good, and that's all that matters to me.

(note to the oblivious among us: That was sarcasm:wink:)

No Russ, I thought you were a big Tom's Fanboy. ;) I myself feel a little dirty for giving Tom's the click on that link. Money is his pocket.

Hey for all you know I could be Tom! Well, that would take self-loathing to a whole new level.

Somehow I doubt I'll be getting a christmas card from them.

Have you seen the test footage of them launching dead chickens into jet engines with an air cannon?

Good stuff

Even worse Rusty is cleaning the engine after a bird has gone through it. You have never smelled anything so bad
Sorry I have no comments on this POS cooler :D

Yup. Remember watching a show on Boeing and the creation of the 777. The engine tests were very interesting. In one they launched frozen turkeys into the engines. Another one they set up an explosive charge to separate one of the vanes on the front impeller. Tested the containment belt/blanket around the engine. VERY impressive.
