Dumb panaflo question

Post by dasman » Tue Feb 03, 2004 8:34 pm

I just got a couple of L1A's (FBA08A12L) and they have three pin tails (red, black & yellow).

I haven't tried them yet (won't get a chance until tomorrow sometime), but I thought L1A's only came with 2 pins and didn't do rpm sensing.

The extra wire probably doesn't do anything. 3-wire tails can't cost that much more than 2-wire ones so your supplier/shop would've just given you whatever they had around at the time.

As for the fan, both the -BX and the -A versions have a 3-pin socket; it's the circuit board inside that's different.
